About George
George is a safeguarding educator and advocate dedicated to protecting and supporting children and young people. He works with schools, organisations and communities to raise awareness of the risks children can face in everyday life.
Through safeguarding education, public speaking and school visits, he is committed to helping young people stay safe, understand their rights and feel confident to speak up when something is wrong.
Professional Safeguarding Education
George works with schools, colleges and community organisations to deliver safeguarding awareness sessions that focus on the real risks children and young people face today.
His presentations address topics such as online safety, exploitation risks, peer pressure, and the importance of recognising concerns and seeking help from trusted adults.
Sessions are delivered in a clear, supportive and age-appropriate way, helping pupils better understand safeguarding while encouraging open conversations between young people, parents and teachers.
Through his work, George aims to support schools in strengthening safeguarding awareness and reinforcing a culture where pupils feel confident speaking up.
From Personal Tragedy to Safeguarding Advocacy
George’s work in safeguarding began following the tragic loss of his 15-year-old son, Christoforos, in March 2022 after experiences linked to online harm.
In response, George founded the Christoforos Charity Foundation – www.ccfworld.org , a charity dedicated to raising awareness of online safety, mental health and the risks young people can face through social media and digital environments.
Through the charity, George began visiting schools to speak about safeguarding awareness and the importance of open conversations between children, parents and teachers.
Over time, this work developed into a broader safeguarding education initiative focused on prevention, education and empowering young people to seek help when they need it.
FirstLine Safeguarding builds on this foundation by providing structured safeguarding education sessions specifically designed for schools.
